Why choose the 4UANTUM Friction Pro?

TLDR: Good grip, consistent hop-up performance with correct setup, and a great choice for heavier BBs. 

The Friction Pro uses a specially designed contact patch to apply backspin to the BB. Consistent contact is important, especially when shooting heavier BBs, where even small differences in hop-up pressure can affect your grouping.

Recommended pairing with 100M ZeroArm EVO

The 4UANTUM Friction is one of the buckings tested with custom designed 100M ZeroArm EVO on the VFC EVO AR platform.

The ZeroArm EVO keeps the nub centered and provides more stable pressure on the bucking compared to the original VFC hop-up arm without movement. This helps reduce unwanted variation in BB trajectory and improves consistency.

Recommended configuration with the included nubs

Based on testing with the 100M ZeroArm EVO at 1.5J and 2J:

With soft round nub (60D silicone):

  • Recommended BB weight: 0.32g – 0.40g

With omega nub (60D silicone):

  • Recommended BB weight: 0.40g – 0.48g

  • Better suited for heavier BB setups where more hop-up tension is needed.

These ranges are based on testing with the original 4UANTUM Friction bucking and nubs included with the ZeroArm. Results with the Friction Pro may differ depending on its contact patch geometry, power output, temperature, and overall configuration.

What to keep in mind?

For the best results with the ZeroArm, start with the soft round nub and adjust your setup according to the BB weight you're using.

If you're upgrading your VFC EVO GBB rifle, the 4UANTUM Friction Pro combined with the 100M ZeroArm EVO is a combination worth trying out.

The bucking provides the grip, while the ZeroArm helps keep the pressure centered and consistent. A simple and overall cheap upgrade that can make a noticeable difference.
